Xi Lambda Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will meet for its first meeting at 6 p.m. today in Jefferson Community Center. Hostesses will be Barb McMillen and Mary Jurcevich. A program will follow the meeting.
Rolling Thunder PA Chapter 5 invites the public to help them honor Cpl. Richard W. Kowalewski Jr., who died while serving in Mogadishu, Somalia, in October 1993, with a Memorial Drive dedication at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20 at the Carmichaels traffic circle. The public is invited to attend.
The John Corbly Chapter DAR will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hartley Inn in Carmichaels. Members are asked to bring boxtops and labels for education.
Morris Township, Greene County, will hold a clean-up day for township residents only from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 3 at the township building. Items such as large appliances, sofas, mattresses and scrap metal will be accepted. Garbage and tires will not be accepted. For information call, 724-627-9844.
