Judge sets plea hearing for former head of Jared Foundation

1 min read

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – A federal judge has scheduled a December plea and sentencing hearing for a man who once ran a charitable foundation created by former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle.

Russell Taylor is expected to plead guilty to child exploitation and child pornography at the Dec. 10 hearing.

The 44-year-old Taylor has admitted in a plea agreement to using hidden cameras to produce child pornography involving 12 minors.

Federal prosecutors say their investigation of Taylor led to charges filed last month against Fogle. The 38-year-old Fogle allegedly received child pornography produced by Taylor, the former head of the Jared Foundation.

Fogle has agreed to plead guilty to those allegations and charges he paid for sex acts with girls as young as 16. Fogle’s plea and sentencing hearing is set for Nov. 19.
