There will be intermittent 15-minute lane closures on the Pigeon Creek Bridge (Route 481) in Carroll Township between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. today, to allow crews to set beams for the bridge structure, the state Department of Transportation announced.

Single lane traffic will be controlled by flaggers during the operation. There will also be a 10-foot lane restriction north of the bridge at the intersection of Van Voorhis Road and Route 481.

Due to expected traffic congestion, motorist are encouraged to use the detour that uses Route 481, Coyle Curtain Road, Route 88 and Route 481.

The contractor on this $1.5 million project is Frank Gavlik & Sons.
