Burglary, assault arrest: Rusty Shane DeBolt, 27, of 148 Scott Ave., Washington, was arrested Tuesday night by state police after he allegedly forced his way into his former girlfriend’s home and assaulted her. Abbey Rhoades told police she was in the bathroom when she heard glass break at her home at 590 Baird Ave., Canton Township, and saw DeBolt pushing open the door. He allegedly chased her and pushed her to the ground. DeBolt was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward on charges of burglary, theft, simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Two charged: Shayne A. Chapman, 26, of 4 Paris Road, Avella, and Jared T. Miller, 20, of 41 Campbell St., Avella, were charged Wednesday by McDonald police with criminal mischief for alleging spray-painting graffiti on the concrete bridge at Avella and Cross Creek roads, Independence, Aug. 16. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

DUI alleged in crash: Cody W. Walker, 20, of 1764 Craft Creek Road, Washington, was charged Wednesday by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol, minor not to have alcohol in their system and traffic violations stemming from a single-vehicle crash Aug. 22 in front of 4284 Prosperity Pike, Morris. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

Dirt bike crash: Connor Bartoletti, 18, of 68-D Anna St., Burgettstown, was injured when his dirt bike crashed into a small deer near his home about 6 p.m. Tuesday. He was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment, Smith police said.

Brush cutters stolen: An employee of Fritz Utility Maintenance told state police Wednesday two Stihl brush cutters were stolen from a pickup truck parked off Deerfield Road in South Franklin.

Driver sought: Southwest Regional police are looking for the driver of a gray Jeep Cherokee found overturned and unoccupied just before midnight Friday at Coal Bluff Road and Union Street, Union. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.

Nail guns stolen: Sherman Ackley of Wilson Avenue told Washington police Tuesday two nail guns were stolen from his home. He discovered the guns were sold to a Washington pawn shop last week. Charges are pending against the alleged thief.
