Police Beat Sept. 16
Guns missing: Donald Roths, who owns a rental property on Profio Road in McDonald, told police two shotguns and a compound bow were missing.
Charged after search: Ashley Nicole Myers, 26, of 144 Sunrise Drive, Abbottstown, was charged Monday with possession of drug paraphernalia, flight to avoid apprehension and resisting arrest after police conducted a search of 901 Meadow Ave., Charleroi. Myers was placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond. Preliminary hearings have been set for Sept. 28 and Oct. 5.
Burglary charges: Kevin Anthony Collins, 28, of 908 Shady Ave., Charleroi, was charged Monday with burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, accident involving damage, driving while operating privileges suspended or revoked, criminal trespass, flight to avoid apprehension and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with four separate incidents, Charleroi Regional police said. Two of the incidents stemmed from an attempt to serve a warrant at 901 Meadow Ave. Collins was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $95,000 bond.Preliminary hearings are scheduled for Sept. 28.
Robbery: Shawn Henry Sappe, 36, Meghan Elizabeth Sappe, 23, and Robert Thomas Cox, 28, reported a robbery Sunday at their home at 27 W. McNutt St., Houston, state police said.
Theft: Juan Marinez-Ramirez, 45, of 403 Carriage Hill, McMurray, was charged with theft by unlawful taking Monday after he stole an iPhone 6 from Iddy Biddy Fashions, 3909 Washington Road, McMurray, Peters Township police said. Marinez-Ramirez was placed in the county jail on a $10,000 bond. A preliminary hearing has been set for Sept. 28.
