Carmichaels man found not guilty of conspiracy in 2014 burglary
WAYNESBURG – A Carmichaels man charged with conspiracy to commit burglary was found not guilty in a nonjury trial Tuesday before visiting Senior Judge Hiram Carpenter III.
Billy Jack Pattison, 34, of 22 Cumberland Village was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and receiving stolen property in connection with a burglary at a house July 21, 2014, on Ceylon Road.
Police accused Pattison of driving Cody A. Gilblom, 22, of Carmichaels to the house. Gilblom broke into the home and stole jewelry, a lockbox containing silver coins, a 9 mm pistol and other items.
Gilblom pleaded guilty in May to the burglary and to two other burglaries in the Carmichaels area and was sentenced to 2 years in the state intermediate punishment program.
