E. Wash. to vote on ordinance
A solid waste ordinance for East Washington residents will be up for consideration at the next council meeting at 7 p.m. Oct. 5.
The ordinance states all trash must be placed in approved seven- to 35-gallon cans with lids. Cans must be kept near the rear of properties and out of sight. No trash cans may be kept on front porches, sidewalks or within sight of the road.
During daylight savings time, trash may be placed at the curb after 6 p.m. the day before trash collection. During nondaylight savings time, trash may be put out after 3 p.m. the day before.
