Five criminal defendants were entered into the accelerated rehabilitative disposition program Monday by Greene County President Judge Farley Toothman.
Those accepted into the program must serve at least one year probation and pay all fines and costs. Defendants charged with driving under the influence of alcohol also may have their driving privileges suspended and be required to refrain from the use or possession of alcohol.
Those who successfully complete the program can petition the court to have their criminal records expunged.
Marina Lindsey Hill, 23, of 1147 Redoak Drive, Harrison City, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Arrested Feb. 2, after her vehicle ran over an embankment on Long Woods Road, Whiteley Township, Hill had a blood-alcohol content level of 0.094 percent.
Justin Woodburn Spencer, 21, of 3146 Mt. Morris Road, Waynesburg, charged with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle or property and two summary traffic violations. On Dec. 19, Spencer failed to stop to provide information after his vehicle ran off the road and struck the porch steps at 1485 Morris St., Franklin Township.
Jack Barron Haines, 29, of 202 Cherry St., Erie, charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police. On March 9, in Perry Township, Haines initially failed to stop for police who were attempting to stop his vehicle for an expired inspection sticker.
Zachary Logan Ingram, 26, of 1534 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, charged with DUI and three summary traffic violations. Arrested Jan. 12, after his vehicle almost struck another car and the building at Taco Bell in Franklin Township, Ingram had a BAC of 0.204 percent.
Harold Eugene Shuman, 66, of 177 Woodies Road, Waynesburg, charged with DUI and three summary traffic violations. Arrested Aug. 31, 2014, after being stopped for speeding, Shuman had a BAC of .165 percent.
