Assault, drug charges: Robert A. Chester, 60, of 829 Main St., Bentleyville, was arrested Friday morning by Bentleyville police for allegedly pushing his son, Jacob Chester, into a door during a dispute at their home. The elder Chester was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of simple assault, harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.
Assault arrest: John Kadonick, 32, of 8 Powerhouse Drive, Coal Center, was arrested Thursday night by California police on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment for allegedly hitting Jennifer Kadonick above the eye during a dispute at their home. He reportedly told police that she hit him, but police said he had no sign of being struck. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Card accessed: Michael Gauna of Elkie Drive, Canton, told state police earlier this month his debit card information was accessed and used to make purchases in New York.
Three charged: Steve J. Southern Jr., 29; Rebecca Lynn Southern, 33; and Jessica Barber, 24, all of 9 Binotto St., Lawrence, were charged by Cecil police last week with simple assault after allegedly hitting one another during a fight at their home Sept. 6. The charges were sent by summons from the office of Senior District Judge Jay Dutton.
Hindering apprehension charge: Celeste Lloyd, 22, of 145 Woodland Road, Daisytown, was charged by Charleroi Regional police with two counts of hindering apprehension after she allegedly hid Ashley Myers, 26, of Abbottstown, Adams County, and Kevin Collins, 28, of 908 Shady Ave., Charleroi, on Monday when police were attempting to serve Collins with a warrant. Lloyd allegedly told police no one was in her home, but the other two were found hiding there. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Harassment, disorderly charges: William Carlock, 55, of 424 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, was charged with harassment and disorderly conduct by Charleroi Regional police after he allegedly shoved Cecilia Isbell and trashed her apartment at 422 Fallowfield Ave. early Sunday.
DUI on ATV charge: Bruce E. Klages, 47, of 510 Pleasant Valley Road, Washington, was charged Thursday by Donegal police with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving an all-terrain vehicle on the road after he allegedly was spotted by an officer riding in the 600 block of Buck Run Road on Sunday. Police said he was intoxicated. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
False report charge: John C. Hansel, 72, of 931 N. Route 231, Claysville, was charged Thursday by Donegal police with making a fictitious report. Police said he reported to them Aug. 23 that his Kubota tractor and related equipment valued at $19,363 was stolen, despite knowing he had an agreement to sell the equipment to a Washington man who had taken possession of the equipment. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
Threats charge: Adam Joseph Hoover, 25, of 40 Vesta Ave., Vestaburg, was arrested Friday morning by state police on charges of terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and harassment after his former girlfriend called police and said he was outside her Frederick Terrace home in East Bethlehem, threatening to kill himself. He allegedly had been inside the home, woke up their 18-month-old son and threw things around. He also allegedly threatened to kill her. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond with orders to have no contact with the alleged victim.
Drug charges: Anthony J. Stankiewicz III, 34, of 94 McCarrell Road, Hickory, was charged last week by McDonald police with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after McDonald police got a tip he was selling or using drugs at his workplace in the borough Sept. 4. Stankiewicz, who was placed in Washington County jail on a probation violation, has been charged by summons from the office of Senior District Judge Jay Dutton.
Charged in checkpoint: Amy Leigh Watson, 33, of Pittsburgh, was charged Wednesday by McDonald police with driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, and having an open container of alcohol stemming from an Aug. 26 sobriety checkpoint in the 9700 block of Steubenville Pike, Robinson. Police said her blood-alcohol content was double the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges were sent by summons from the office of Senior District Judge Jay Dutton.
Charged in assault: Clifford E. Bennett, 25, of 219 Charles St., Langeloth, was arrested Thursday by Smith police on charges of simple assault and harassment. He is accused of hitting his mother, Annette Bennett, in the face during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County Jail on $5,000 bond.
Equipment stolen: Timothy Trent of 500 Vance Station Road told South Strabane police Thursday his chain saw, weed trimmer and extra battery and charger were stolen from his shed.
Woman arrested: Kayla Durham, 30, of Morgantown, W.Va., was arrested last week by South Strabane police on a charge of theft by deception after she allegedly removed $99 in merchandise from the shelf at Walmart, Trinity Point, Sept. 10 and returned it for a gift card. She was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
Receiving, conspiracy charges: Sarak K. Conard, 25, of Washington, was arraigned Friday on charges of conspiracy and receiving stolen property filed by Washington police for her alleged role in the sale of scrap wire stolen from Allegheny Ludlum, 15 Woodland Ave., last month. Conard and two others are accused of selling 450 pounds of the scrap wire at Canon-Mac Metals, North Strabane Township, on two occasions for $358. She was released from Washington County jail Friday afternoon after posting $5,000 bond.
Money stolen: Barbara Williams of 655 Ewing St. told Washington police Thursday that $3,100 she transferred from her bank account to a friend at his request was sent to a bank in Nigeria.
Home entered: Nadia Dates of 805 Ewing St. told Washington police Thursday her home was broken into and a television set moved from one room to another.
Tires slashed: Shannon McMasters of Washington told Washington police Thursday tires were slashed on two vehicles parked outside 490 Henderson Ave.
Mother claims threats: April Grimes of 515 W. Chestnut St. told Washington police Thursday her son tore up her house and threatened to kill her and assault her boyfriend. Charges are pending, police said.
