A Canton Township man was arrested Friday after detectives served a search warrant at his Scott Drive home and reported finding almost $10,000 along with suspected marijuana, cocaine, crack, heroin and narcotic pills.

Detectives obtained the search warrant for the home of William Donald Smith Jr., 37, of 148 Scott Ave., as part of an ongoing investigation. Police said the narcotics found in the house included hydrocodone, clonazepam and suboxone pills.

A search warrant also was served at the home of his neighbors, Harry “Butch” DeBolt Jr., 54, and Rhonda McCleary, 48, of 148 ½ Scott. Detectives said they found paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana there.

Court records indicate the task force has been investigating the trafficking of controlled substances in and around 148 and 148 ½ Scott.

Smith was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver cocaine, heroin and hydrocodone, possession of paraphernalia and conspiracy. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond. Smith will have a preliminary hearing Sept. 30 before Mark.

DeBolt and McCleary also have been charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver, possession of paraphernalia and conspiracy. They will be arraigned later.
