Career coaching workshop available
The Washington County Community Foundation is hosting its inaugural Career Coaching Workshop, an informational session about choosing the right educational path and postsecondary school to meet career goals.
The workshop will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 13 at the foundation’s office at 1253 Route 519 in Eighty Four (directly across the street from Wylandville Elementary School). The workshop is tailored for high school students who are the first members of their families who plan to pursue postsecondary education and their parents. Topics include: career options, the admissions process, as well as financial aid and scholarships.
Betty Davis, former dean of enrollment of the Community College of Allegheny College; Karen Rubican, school counselor at Canon-McMillan High School; Dr. William Edmonds, dean of undergraduate admissions at California University of Pennsylvania; and Jayeann Harr, higher education access partner of the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency are the local and regional experts who will be serving on the panel.
