Police beat Sept. 25
Stolen coins: Phillip H. Stanger, 29, of 36 Teagarden Homes, Clarksville, was charged Sept. 18 with receiving stolen property after state police said he possessed a jar containing $720 in coins that had been stolen from an A Street home June 11.
Burglary charges: State police charged Dustin F. Virgili, 26, of 51 Short St., Mather, with burglary, criminal trespassing theft and receiving stolen property after he allegedly stole $18,501 in equipment from a First Street residence in Morgan Township on Dec. 19. State police filed the charges against Virgili on Sept. 18 and he was arraigned by District Judge Glenn Bates and taken to the Greene County jail on $25,000 bond.
Simple assault: Travis A. Barlow, 37, of 163 W. Elm St., Waynesburg, was charged with simple assault and harassment after borough police said he pushed a woman on stairs in his apartment and punched her in the head, face and arms Sept. 18. Police said Barlow also broke a window during the attack.
