A surveillance photo released by Washington police shows a Ford F-150 truck the suspect in several thefts of cigarette cartons from area convenience stores entered after allegedly stealing from GetGo on East Wylie Avenue.

Washington police are looking for a man suspected of stealing cigarettes from three convenience stores earlier this month.

The suspect reportedly stole cartons of Newport cigarettes from Family Dollar on Highland Avenue, 7-Eleven on West Chestnut Street and GetGo on East Wylie Avenue. The thefts occurred Sept. 16 and 21.

Detective Dan Rush said the suspect would ask for a carton of cigarettes, then ask the clerk for another item. While the clerk was turned away, he would grab the carton and run.

The suspect was seen on surveillance video entering a red, extended cab Ford F-150 pickup truck after stealing from GetGo.

The suspect is white with a close-cut beard and was wearing a dark gray or black ball cap with an emblem on it.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-223-4226.
