Road work on Route 50 to begin Monday
Milling and resurfacing work will begin on Route 50 (Washington Pike) in Bridgeville on Monday. Paving operations will occur weeknights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. between Chartiers Street and Station Street. Weekend work may occur.
Single-lane alternating traffic will occur with flaggers assisting motorists through the work zone. The project will conclude in early November.
The project, part of a $2.4 million contract to resurface four roadways in Allegheny County, includes milling and resurfacing, base repairs, shoulder repairs, drainage improvements, line painting and other miscellaneous construction.
Lane Construction Corp. is the prime contractor.
