Theft arrest: Kaylee N. Bennato, 28, of 933 Bentleyville Road, Charleroi, was arrested Friday by state police on a felony charge of retail theft after she allegedly stole items from Dollar General in Bentleyville. She was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

DUI alleged in crash: Eric Jaggie, 34, of New Castle, faces a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol after his pickup truck went off the 100 block of Pleasant Valley Road, Buffalo, hit a utility pole and went down an embankment early Sunday, state police said.

Theft: Michael Stephen Povick, 53, of 182 Clarke Road, Buffalo Township, reported his mailbox stolen Friday, state police said.

Disorderly house charge: Tyra M. Woodruff of Pittsburgh was charged Sunday by California police with violating the borough’s disorderly house ordinance after police said they received a complaint about loud music coming from her Vulcan Village apartment.

Metal stolen: Anthony Compeggie of 624 1/2 S. Central Ave. told Canonsburg police Friday metal he stored next to his house, including downspouts and an aluminum ladder, were stolen.

Theft: Connie L. Ealy, 58, of Washington, reported three rifles, a handgun and three Bowie knives stolen from a detached garage at 91 Charles Street, Canton Township, state police said. The theft occurred around Sept.5.

Car stolen: Cole Wallace of 134 Vista Drive, Cecil, told police Friday he left his mother’s car, a 2005 Chevrolet Impala, unsecured in his driveway with a key in the console. The car was found Sept. 28 on Chestnut Court in Cecil. The incident remains under investigation.

Robbery arrest: Melanie L. Shriver, 19, of 57 Yancosky Road, Charleroi, was arrested Friday on a warrant obtained by Charleroi Regional police on charges of robbery, theft and harassment after she allegedly robbed a 16-year-old boy outside a Pennsylvania Avenue pizza shop Aug. 2. The two struggled, and she allegedly stole $325 from him after he picked up a pizza. She was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Two arrested: Jedadiah Allen, 36, and Joseph A. Byers, 34, both of Belle Vernon, were arrested early Sunday by Donora police after they allegedly used a key to enter the home of Jeffrey Sickles and Ashley Stimakis, 468 Fourth St. Allen, who rents the house to the couple and is her brother-in-law, is accused of hitting Sickles in the head with a ratchet. Sickles and Stimakis told police they were at a picnic Saturday and got into an argument with Allen, but left without incident. Allen and Byers were charged with burglary, harassment and disorderly conduct. Allen also is charged with aggravated assault. The two men were arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bonds.

Assault arrest: Michael A. Casey, 34, of 3582 Washington Ave., Finleyville, was arrested Sunday by Monongahela police after he allegedly grabbed Crystal Strogish by the neck, pushed her into a corner and punched her. She was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis on charges of simple assault and harassment and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.

Assault, disorderly charges: Adam Lee Mondine, 36, of 106 Johnston St., McDonald, was charged Wednesday by McDonald police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct for allegedly assaulting Tara Amic at their home earlier that day. He is accused of punching her in the back of the head, knocking her to the ground. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of Senior District Judge Jay Dutton.

Three injured: Three people were injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Route 19 near Linden Road, North Strabane police said. A vehicle driven by Trisha Herrington, 25, of 176 S. Main St., Washington, pulled from Linden into the path of a car driven by John Staszel 36, of Bowling Green, Ohio, according to police. Two passengers in Staszel’s car, Donald Staszel, 67, and Emma Staszel, 63, both of Scottdale, were taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. Herrington was slightly injured, police said.

Two-vehicle accident: An Upper St. Clair woman who is five months pregnant went by private transportation to Jefferson Hospital following a two-car accident Sunday at the intersection of Froebe and Bebout roads in Venetia. According to police, a vehicle driven by Lynn Crogan, 33, of 549 Pat Haven Drive, Upper St. Clair, was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Stacey Gregg, 30, of 603 Barrington Court, Bethel Park. Gregg told police she became distracted and hit the rear of Crogan’s vehicle. Crogan refused treatment at the scene.

Windshield struck: A woman driving west Friday on Johnston Road in Canonsburg near the Center Church Road intersection told police she heard something like a pellet gun being fired and then noticed the passenger side of her windshield was damaged. The incident remains under investigation.

Mailboxes damaged: Three mailboxes on Pleasantview Drive and two mailboxes on North Heide Lane, Canonsburg, were vandalized Sunday, police said.

Theft reported: Lea Lester of 348 Valley St., Robinson, told McDonald police last week a T-shirt, nebulizer and pet supplies were stolen from her vehicle. The items are valued at $370, police said.

Trespass charge: Tracy Ann Hickey, 35, of Pittsburgh, will be charged by McDonald police with criminal trespass after she allegedly entered the property of Erik Cerezo of 515 Valley St., Robinson, without permission Thursday.

Theft charge: Gwendolyn S. Ullom, 26, of 161 Iola Ave., Washington, was charged Friday by South Strabane police with theft and criminal mischief for allegedly stealing jewelry from Brook and Mary Jo Ward, Willowbrook Drive, Aug. 5. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller. Most of the items were returned.

Drug arrest: Allen T. Parker Jr., 20, of Pittsburgh, was arrested by state police Friday on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop on Toll 43 in Union. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and released from Washington County jail after posting $25,000 bond.

Assault, theft arrest: Tara Johnson, 36, of 180 Ohio St., Washington, was arrested by Washington police Friday on charges of simple assault, retail theft, resisting arrest and possession of narcotics after she allegedly stole items from Shop ‘n Save, 125 W. Beau St., and then bit an employee of the store. Police said she had heroin and suboxone when taken into custody after struggling with officers. She was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $7,500 bond.

Assault charges: Thomas A. Wormsley, 45, of 122 N. Main St., Washington, was arrested and charged with assault early Sunday by Washington police after he allegedly hit his girlfriend, Joyce Cole, in the face, knocking out two of her teeth. She refused treatment. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Woman arrested: Gale King, 58, of 769 Broad St., Washington, was arrested Sunday by Washington police on charges of simple assault and destroying evidence after she allegedly hit Cortney Orgavan, also of Washington, in the left arm and back with a stick. King then had someone destroy the stick, police said. King was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.

Dumpster burns: Washington police said a Dumpster at 728 Henderson Ave. was set on fire Sunday by a man wearing blue jeans and a black hooded shirt.

Wallet stolen: Lisa Hager of Washington told city police Sunday her wallet was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at one of two locations in the city.

Vehicles not returned: Marcia Brownlee of Washington told Washington police Sunday she gave her Hyundai Santa Fe told a man she knows as “Beats” at 1060 Jefferson Ave., but he has not returned it. Pam Deloe of 70 E. Chestnut St. told police Sunday she loaned out her 2000 Volvo, but it was returned. Laura McKenna, 5 E. Walnut St., told police Saturday she loaned her 2007 Hyundai Elantra to a woman who did not return the car.

Radio stolen: Todd Shultz told Washington police Sunday a radio was stolen from a storage unit at 728 Henderson Ave.

Items stolen: Billy Jones of 240 Canton Ave. reported keys, a cellphone and prescription medication were stolen.

Trespass charge: Jamie Fisher, 18, of 690 Addison St., Washington, and Nikki Robinson, 30, of 746 Addison, were charged with criminal trespass by Washington police for allegedly entering a home at 720 Ewing St. without permission Saturday.

Purse stolen: Holly Zerlicki of 221 N. Main St. told Washington police Saturday a Louis Vuitton purse and Michael Kors bag were stolen from her home.

Theft reported: Sherry Forest of 555 Broad St. told Washington police Saturday $2,000, three rings and $40 in quarters were stolen from her home.

Pistol stolen: Evan Hyrmewich of 72 Sumner Ave. told Washington police Monday a 9 mm pistol was stolen from his vehicle, which was parked near his home.

Grill damaged: Kristen Igler of 1150 Maple Terrace told Washington police her grill was damaged Friday.
