Police Beat Sept. 30

Tires slashed: Two tires were slashed on a vehicle parked near Linden Alley in West Waynesburg between 7 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday, state police said.

Minor injuries: One person sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 2:45 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Route 18 and Route 21. State police said Bradley Cottrell, 63, of Masontown, W.Va., was turning left onto Route 21 when his vehicle was struck by a car traveling west on Route 21 operated by Robert L. Patterson, 80, of Waynesburg. Patterson had minor injuries, but did not require treatment.

Theft: Multiple tools and $5 in change were stolen from vehicles parked in the driveway at 732 Mason Ridge Road between Saturday and Monday, state police said.
