Assault alleged: Jason T. Workman, 28, of 57 Vesta 7 Road, Centerville, was arrested Tuesday by Centerville police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly grabbed his mother, Kimberly Workman, and threw her on a bed. Police said he was angry about a trip to Walmart. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Manifolds stolen: John Gerecke Jr. of Canonsburg told North Strabane police early Wednesday a Pittsburgh power exhaust manifold and Caterpillar exhaust manifold were stolen from his truck tractor while it was parked at Fyda Freightliner, 20 Fyda Drive.

Fugitive caught: Edgar Rodriguez, 21, of New York, N.Y., was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Washington police as a fugitive from justice. Police were called to a home in the 800 block of Ewing Street for a report of three suspicious men sitting on the porch when the owner was not home. None of the three had any identification. They were taken to the state police barracks, where their fingerprints were scanned. Rodriguez, who told police his name was Nelson Rodriguez, is wanted in New York City on drug charges. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail without bond, pending extradition to New York. Shawn Sessons, 20, also of New York City, was charged with disorderly conduct after he allegedly ran from the porch. A third man was released.

Two charged: Ed Toth, 52, of 984 Jefferson Ave., Washington, and Kim Beatty, 55, of 556 W. Chestnut St., Washington, were charged by Washington police with disorderly conduct after police said they spotted the two blocking the road at Jefferson and Hall avenues about 1 a.m. Wednesday. Police said Beatty had blood on her head but refused treatment.

Couple charged: Kenneth Ashmore, 52, and Holly Ashmore, 43, both of 1170 Summerlea Ave., Washington, were charged by Washington police with disorderly conduct for allegedly creating a disturbance Tuesday night at Triple T’s Tavern, 30 Oregon St. Holly Ashmore reportedly threw food on the door. One of the owners was hit in the face outside the bar.

Items stolen: Michael Main of 790 Allison Ave. told Washington police his iPhone, a diesel engine, programming unit and $5 were stolen from his pickup truck when it was broken into Tuesday.

Parts stolen: Habibolsh Takeba of McMurray told Washington police Tuesday parts to an air-conditioning unit were stolen from a building he owns at 308 Jefferson Ave.

Theft, harassment arrest: Kathryn N. Allen, 29, of Monessen, was arrested Monday by state police on charges of retail theft, criminal trespass, harassment and disorderly conduct. She is accused of stealing items valued at $324.26 from Walmart, West Brownsville, Monday and items valued at $321.03 Saturday. She also allegedly scratched a loss-prevention officer at the store. Police said she has been banned from all Walmarts for five years. She was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
