Several charged with theft
South Strabane Township police charged several people with retail theft this week.
Ashley N. Keen, 29, of 396 Lively Road, Eighty Four, and Syna McOsker, 39, of 904 Chartiers St., Washington, were each charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing items from Gabriel’s, Northgate Plaza, on March 21. McOsker, who ran from police and hid in the woods is also charged with flight to avoid apprehension and possession of heroin and paraphernalia.
Keen is also charged with possession of paraphernalia and marijuana.
James D. Leach, 29, of Morgantown, W.Va., was charged with felony retail theft for allegedly stealing 40 video games and men’s clothing valued at $1,118 from Walmart, Trinity Point, on March 22. He told police that he owed a drug dealer money. He also told police that he had been a heroin addict until six days before the incident.
Alexandra Kerr, 19, of 370 Pike St., Meadow Lands, was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing items valued at $152 from Walmart on March 25.
Charges against the accused will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
