Man sentenced in Donora arrest
A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 3 to 6 years in state prison in connection with a 2014 drug arrest in Donora.
Washington County District Attorney Gene Vittone said Joseph Drayton, 25, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to deliver heroin and cocaine before Judge Gary Gilman March 22.
Drayton was arrested Oct. 22, 2014, following a compliance check of a person at 972 Thompson Ave. During the search, state parole agents and Donora police discovered three men in the house, smoking marijuana in a room containing 3,403 stamp bags of heroin, cocaine, $3,884 in cash and a large amount of drug paraphernalia.
Drayton also was sentenced to five years of probation following his prison term.
Vittone said the conviction was a result of cooperation among state parole agents, Donora police, Washington County Drug Task Force and Assistant District Attorney Leslie Ridge.
