Possession charge: State police charged Corey J. Riley, 30, with possession of contraband and possession of a controlled substance after investigators said his mother, Sandra W. Riley, 63, of Pittsburgh, tried to deliver him marijuana last July while he was being held at SCI-Greene.

Theft charges: Derek M. Coss, 23, of 130 Pershing Ave., Waynesburg, was charged Monday with theft and receiving stolen property after state police said he stole multiple items worth a combined $1,860 from his father and sold them on three occasions between Feb. 22 and March 18.

Crash: Bryan Keith White, 38, of 135 Hedge Ave., Rices Landing, was charged Friday by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol and 18 other traffic violations after he crashed his vehicle the night of March 5. According to court documents, White was traveling south on Crucible Road in Cumberland Township when he struck a northbound vehicle before fleeing.
