West Newton woman injured in one-vehicle crash on Route 519
A West Newton woman suffered a broken leg in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday on Route 51, North Strabane Township police said.
Leah Burkett, 34, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital after the crash in the 1700 block that was reported about 2 p.m. The road was closed to traffic for a short time. Police said Burkett, the sole occupant of the car, lost control going downhill and crashed into an embankment. The road was reopened to traffic at 2:40 p.m.
