Carmichaels Municipal Authority will complete a water connection at Bailey’s Crossroads that will interrupt service Wednesday to customers on South Branch Muddy Creek Road and on Jackson Lane. Water pressure also may be lower than normal for customers on Route 21, west of the crossroads. Line flushing will be done following the connection.
Town & Country Garden Club will hold its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Hewitt Presbyterian Church in Rices Landing. The program is “Roses” by Carolyn Monyak. New members are welcome. The deadline for the submission of scholarship applications is Friday, April 22.
Jacksonville Cemetery Association stockholders will hold their annual meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Christian Church in Wind Ridge. All interested persons are invited to attend.
Greene County Relay and Friends is holding a bake sale on the courthouse steps from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and will include a variety of lunchtime meals and baked goods. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.
John Corbly Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at the Perfect Round restaurant in Franklin Township at noon Saturday.
Ralph K. Bell Bird Club will hold its next meeting at the Bowlby Library in Waynesburg Monday, April 18, at 6 p.m. The program will be “How to Use E-bird.” Anyone interested in birds is welcome to attend.
Franklin Township will hold a cleanup day Saturday, April 30. From 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., residents can bring unwanted items to the municipal building. Items that cannot be accepted include electronics, such as televisions and computers, tires, oil, paint and combustible liquids. Air conditioners and refrigerators must be tagged indicating the Freon has been removed.
