Warrant issued for suspected robber
State police have obtained an arrest warrant for a Washington man suspected of robbing a Canton Township convenience store last week.
Donald Eugene Allen, 46, is wanted on the warrant signed Monday by District Judge David Mark on charges of robbery and theft.
Allen is accused of robbing the Circle K, 880 Henderson Ave., about 4:15 a.m. April 4. He reportedly handed a clerk a note demanding money. The clerk complied, handing over cash. Police said no weapon was seen during the robbery.
Trooper Thomas Kress said police received information that led to the identification of Allen as a suspect in the robbery. Police also located the blue Mercury Marquis that Allen is believed to have driven when he fled from the store. Kress said it is not known if Allen is now driving another vehicle.
Allen’s last known address was 360 E. Hallam Ave., but Kress said he has been known to frequent several locations in the Washington area. Allen is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 240 pounds.
Anyone with information on Allen’s whereabouts is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.
