The Pennsylvania Resources Council will host the first of its six 2016 hard-to-recycle collection events from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Pittsburgh Technical Institute, 1111 McKee Road, Oakdale.

PRC will accept computers, cellphones, CFL bulbs, microwave ovens and expanded polystyrene packaging material at no cost. Individuals will pay a fee to drop off tires, audio-visual equipment, Freon appliances, batteries and a variety of other items.

PRC is not able to accept televisions at upcoming events.

“Current government regulations now prevent PRC from collecting and recycling televisions, but PRC is working to find a solution,” said PRC Regional Director Justin Stockdale. For complete collection event information – including a list of items accepted and associated costs – visit www.prc.org or call PRC at 412-488-7490, ext. 243.
