Man charged in slayings of man, woman after argument
ETNA (AP) – A man has been charged in the shooting deaths of a man and woman in a Western Pennsylvania apartment.
Allegheny County authorities said 30-year-old Joshua Huber is charged in Friday morning’s deaths of 30-year-old Derek Schindler and 22-year-old Melissa Zuk in Etna. Police said Huber was taken into custody at the scene after a neighbor intervened and held him at gunpoint until officers arrived.
Investigators said Huber told officers that there had been a dispute over missing money and Zuk attacked him repeatedly, so he pulled out a handgun as a warning. He said he shot her as she approached again and then shot Schindler after he charged.
Court documents don’t list an attorney who could respond to the charges; a listed number for Huber couldn’t be found Saturday.
