Jefferson-Morgan Art Club ready for annual art show
The Jefferson-Morgan High School Art Club will be holding its annual art show next month.
The show will be Wednesday, May 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. The show is free, open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
“I’m happy to give back to the J-M art program after the years of knowledge it gave me,” Art Club member Ally Bogden said. “I’m really glad to see people in the community come to the art show and support it as much as they do.”
On display will be students’ artwork, including oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings, Raku and gloss glaze pottery, drawings done in pastel, colored pencil, markers and spray paint, along with various photography. Most pieces will also be up for sale, through a silent auction process. All proceeds go to Jefferson-Morgan High School Art Club.
“It is wonderful that this event has grown the way it has over the years! I love that it allows our students to showcase their work and bring some art and culture to Greene County at the same time,” Art Club sponsor Michael Lesko said. “This is our sixth year for the show, and it is always an enjoyable evening for the local community.”
