Lions Club names student of the month
Camryn Dugan, daughter of Sherry Dugan and the late Chris Dugan, is Clarksville Lions Club March Student of the Month.
Dugan is Student Council vice president, National Honor Society vice president, a three-year letterman in both volleyball and softball, and a member of the rifle team at Jefferson-Morgan. She also participates in SADD/Youth Traffic safety, Interact Club, Envirothon and Leo Club. She maintains a 3.92 grade-point average.
Dugan was recognized as the high overall female for the SCTP state championship in sporting clays. She is also a member of the Hunting Hills Hawkeyes Shot Gun Team. She was a member of the 2015 WPIAL Section Champion softball team and also received the Esmark All-American Athlete Award.
She volunteers her time for the Kicking Cancer’s Butt Kickball Tournament, as well as Relay for Life. Dugan also helped organize the Chris A. Dugan Memorial Scholarship spaghetti dinner. Dugan received a Community Service Award from the Alpha Natural Resource Challenge Program.
In the fall, she plans to attend California University of Pennsylvania for speech pathology or elementary education.
