Pair charged in Monessen
MONESSEN – A warrant will be issued for the arrest of a Monessen woman accused of assaulting a police officer Sunday when he removed her from her Monessen residence in a case that also led to the arrest of her boyfriend from nearby Donora.
Leticia Payne, 30, of 22 Rebecca St., is wanted by Monessen police on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, obstruction, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct, court records show. Her boyfriend, William Koster IV, 26, of 68 McKean Ave., is free on $5,000 bond set Monday in the case by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
Police were called about 7:45 p.m. to Payne’s residence to investigate a gunshot that was heard while a couple were fighting. Officers did find evidence a shot was fired through a ceiling in the residence.
Payne is accused of kicking an officer while he struggled to get her out of the residence. An officer eventually deployed a Taser to stun her into submission, the affidavit indicates.
Koster is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, obstruction and disorderly conduct.
