An Allegheny County woman was arraigned last week on charges filed by an investigator with the Pennsylvania attorney general’s office accusing her of Medicaid fraud.

Dana D. Jolly, 45, of North Versailles, was charged with Medicaid fraud and theft by deception for allegedly billing the state’s medical assistance program for hours that she claimed she worked caring for a Washington man but never did, according to court documents filed at the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Investigators allege she was working as a personal care attendant to provide in-home health maintenance services for the patient at his Land Avenue home. Jolly was to work from noon to 7 p.m. on weekends and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The home was placed under surveillance by investigators. Medicaid was billed $2,170 for 217 hours that Jolly allegedly did not appear for work.

Redlinger released her on $10,000 unsecured bond after her arraignment. She is scheduled for a May 4 preliminary hearing before Redlinger.
