Police beat April 30
Bad check charge: The operators of Green Global Machine of Southwest, Westmoreland County, were charged Tuesday in a private criminal complaint filed by Robert Beatty, 2974 S Bridge Road, Buffalo, with writing a bad check for $2,000 to him a year ago. Beatty said Tracey Blackburn wrote the check to cover damage to Beatty’s property reportedly done by Nick Saltzman, who according to the complaint was doing business as Green Global.
False ID: Colin Sean Evans, 20, of 99 Dewey Ave., Washington, was charged Friday by state police with providing false identification to a trooper who was assisting him when his vehicle broke down April 19 on Interstate 70 westbound, east of the Taylorstown exit in Buffalo Township. Evans reportedly told the trooper he gave the fake name because he had traffic warrants.
Prescription stolen: Jennifer L. Henry of 166 Caldwell Ave., Canton, told police her son’s prescription medication was stolen from her home during an April 18 party. Anyone with information is asked to call 724-223-5200.
Assault arrest: Cody Ray Hanning, 21, of 71 Buckeye Road, East Finley, was arraigned Thursday on two counts each of simple assault and harassment. He is accused of kicking Jessica Lemley of Washington in the shin and hitting Stephanie Lemley of Greensboro in the cheek during a confrontation the previous day at his home. Hanning was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Warrant arrest: Larry C. Bryan, 57, whose last known address was in Waynesburg, was arrested Thursday for a probation violation filed by authorities in Chester County. He was placed in Washington County jail pending his transfer to Chester.
Harassment charge: Jamie John Harris, 46, of 116 Hurst Drive, Belle Vernon, was charged Friday with harassment stemming from an April 12 neighbor dispute.
Theft charge: Keith Allan Rodgers, 33, of 960 Grant Ave., Monessen, was charged Friday by Rostraver police with retail theft after he allegedly stole items valued at $239 from Walmart, 100 Sara Way, on Feb. 5.
Drug charges: Crystal Ann Bakes, 24, who Rostraver police said is homeless, and Robert Charles Marshall, 34, of 23 Elm St., Monessen, were charged Friday by township police stemming from an April 20 incident in which the two were allegedly ingesting heroin in a vehicle parked along Martin Road. Both are charged with possession of heroin and paraphernalia. Marshall also faces a firearms charge.
Theft charges: Greg Allen Adams, 33, of 285 Park Ave., Washington, was arrested late Thursday on a warrant obtained by South Strabane police stemming from a Nov. 14, 2014, incident at Walmart, Trinity Point. Adams is accused of stealing items from the store. A woman who was with him allegedly returned the items for a gift card. Adams was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of conspiracy, retail theft, theft by deception and driving with a suspended license. He was placed in Washington County jail. He also is in jail on bench and domestic relations warrants.
Revolver stolen: Richard L. Hunt of 1099 Jefferson Ave. told Washington police Thursday his loaded, silver, .38-caliber revolver, which was in a brown holster, was stolen from his vehicle.
Harassment charge: Michael Moye, 42, of 151 Thorne Road, North Franklin Township, will be charged by Washington police with harassment. He is accused of grabbing Sabrina Heyman, 40, of 970 E. Maiden St., by the hair as she sat on the porch of her home Friday. He allegedly threw her into the door and pushed her off the porch. He left before police arrived. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
