Monessen man indicted in federal court
A Monessen man has been named in a three-count federal indictment, the office of U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton announced Tuesday.
The indictment against Laurenti James Roberton, 25, of Merando Drive, charges him with violating federal drug and firearms laws.
Robertson is accused of possessing a 9mm handgun and ammunition after having been convicted of multiple crimes that prevented him from having a weapon. He is accused of having the gun Oct. 24, 2015, when he allegedly distributed heroin, Hickton’s office said.
