CHARLEROI – A Charleroi woman is in custody in three separate cases, one of which accuses her of going inside a borough man’s apartment while he was home Sunday.

Dorothy Ann Summers, 40, of 414 Washington Ave., was arrested by Charleroi Regional police after David Blake told an officer he found her in the living room of his residence at 326 Washington Ave. without his permission, court records show.

Police charged Summers in that case with burglary, and she was later released on $5,000 unsecured bond set by District Judge Traci McDonald.

Summers was arrested again Monday morning in the other cases and sent to Washington County jail on $200,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Her boyfriend, James Smalley, went to the police station about 7:15 a.m. Monday to report Summers was “out of control” and bringing home stolen items.

Police said they found $300 worth of camping equipment, including a machete, that morning, about the same time Craig Feeney filed a report saying camping equipment was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked overnight in the Seventh Street lot, court records show.

Feeney identified most of the items seized from Summers’ home as belonging to him, the record states.

In the third case, Summers is accused of breaking into 627 Washington Ave. early June 29 while the residents were asleep and stealing a wallet and purse holding $190 from the kitchen. A nurse’s bag belonging to one of the residents, Lisa Keller, also was stolen from the home.

Police said they were able to identify Summers in that burglary from surveillance cameras in the area.

She faces additional charges of theft, burglary, trespassing and receiving stolen property.
