Liberty Tunnel, bridge work planned
There will be a closure of the inbound Liberty Bridge and Tunnel in Pittsburgh this weekend.
Beginning at 8 p.m. today, the inbound tunnel and bridge will close to traffic through noon Sunday.
Crews from Joseph B. Fay Co. will remove cabinets for the overhead lane control structures.
Two outbound lanes will be maintained on the bridge and through the tunnel from 8 p.m. today until two hours after the event at Consol Energy Center. A single lane of traffic will be maintained outbound during the remainder of the closure.
Inbound traffic will be detoured at the south portal of the Liberty Tunnel.
