Charged in theft: Sarra Ealy, 24, of 35 Poverty Point Road, Claysville, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant obtained by Bentleyville police on two counts of theft. She is accused of stealing a ruby and diamond ring and bracelet owned by Denise Sauer of Bentleyville and selling the jewelry to two stores in the Washington area. She was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and released from Washington County jail after posting $5,000 bond.

Theft arrest: Michael Richmond, 36, of 132 1/2 E. Maiden St., Washington, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant obtained by Canonsburg police on charges of theft and disorderly conduct. He is accused of stealing more than $2,000 in cash deposits while working at Papa John’s, 113 Cavasina Drive, earlier this month. When police took him into custody, they said they found him with suspected drugs and paraphernalia. He was arraigned on the theft charges before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond. Police will file drug charges later.

Threats, trespass charges: Ann Elizabeth Dare, 57, of 349 Beacon Ave., Canton, was charged Wednesday by state police with terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, harassment, criminal trespass and public drunkenness after she allegedly went to a home on Mesta Drive in Canton Aug. 4, punched James Amos and threatened to burn down the house. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Theft, receiving charges: Brenda Figolah, 56, of Charleroi, was arrested Wednesday by Charleroi Regional police on two counts each of theft and receiving stolen property. She is accused of stealing a purse containing $950 and a gun from a vehicle parked on Longway Alley. She was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Truck, trolley crash: George Gula, 65, of Mt. Lebanon, a trolley operator for the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, was injured Wednesday night when a trolley was struck by a pickup truck driven by Austin M. Shiel, 16, of Bulger-Candor Road, Bulger, on North Main Street Extension, Chartiers police said. Gula was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. A witness told police Shiel was going west when he went through the activated red railroad crossing lights in the area of the Washington County fairgrounds. The trolley struck the driver’s side of the truck.

Animal cruelty charge: Clint Douglas Helmick, 52, of 12 E. McNutt St., Houston, was charged Tuesday by Houston police with cruelty to animals. He is accused of hitting his neighbor’s cat in the head last month. The cat was found dead the following day. He also allegedly chased two other cats, throwing shoes at them. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Theft arrest: Johnna R. Caster, 26, of 407 Second St., Vestaburg, was arraigned Monday before District Judge Jay Weller on a warrant obtained by South Strabane police on charges of theft and theft by failure to make required disposition of funds. She is accused of stealing $3,404 in customer payments while working for Jackson Hewitt, Trinity Point, between February and April. She was released on unsecured bond.

Access device charge: Amanda Bedillion, 29, of 222 Tollgate Run Road, Waynesburg, was charged Monday with access device fraud after she allegedly used a woman’s credit card without permission to make $150 in purchases at Walmart, Trinity Point. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Drivers injured: Tammy L. Main, 56, of 671 E. National Pike, Washington, and Scott Trunzo, 46, of 105 W. 11th St., Donora, were injured when their vehicles collided Wednesday morning in the 600 block of Davis School Road, South Strabane police said. They were taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

Card accessed: Martin Hyatt of Harrisburg told South Strabane and North Franklin Township police Wednesday his credit card information was used to make a $1,174.29 purchase that included prepaid Visa cards at Staple’s and a $103.86 purchase at Wine and Spirits in South Strabane. It also was used to make a $1,358.86 purchase at Sears in North Franklin. All the purchases occurred Aug. 12.

Card used: Brandon Allen of Washington told Washington police Wednesday information from his debit card was used to make three withdrawals totaling $506 in Northfield, Ill.
