Improvement work on the Route 22/Noblestown interchange in North Fayette Township, Allegheny County, will begin today, weather permitting.

Beginning at 7 a.m., a 15-day closure of the Kelso Road on-ramp to eastbound Route 22 at the Noblestown interchange will occur. Improvements include milling and resurfacing, concrete pavement rehabilitation, bituminous reconstruction, drainage improvements and guardrail replacement. Ramp traffic will be detoured.

The interchange upgrades are part of the $7.33 million Route 22 Improvement Project. The project also includes milling and resurfacing Route 22 between Washington County and the Oakdale interchange, structure repairs, drainage upgrades and guardrail replacements. The overall project is expected to end in late November.

Swank Construction Co. is the prime contractor.
