South Strabane police charge several with theft
South Strabane Township police charged several people with theft after they allegedly stole from businesses in the township.
Leona L. Pettigrew, 26, of Pittsburgh, and Cynthia Turner, 31, of Wilmerding, were charged with retail theft, conspiracy and possessing instruments of a crime. They are accused of stealing items valued at $551.25 from Osh Kosh B’Gosh at Tanger Outlets on June 25. They allegedly had four homemade bags lined with foil and duct tape to mask security tags.
Jesse Lee Dunfee, 33, of 21 Circle St., Mather, was charged with theft by deception in connection with a no-receipt return at Walmart, Trinity Point, on Aug. 12 for $109.
Matthew A. Lambert, 29, of 518 W. Pike St., Houston, was charged with retail theft and criminal mischief. He is accused of stealing $850 in items from Kohl’s, Strabane Square, on Aug. 4. He also allegedly removed baseboard molding in a men’s fitting room to hide security tags.
Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
