Police beat Aug. 26
Single-car crash: State police said a driver was cited for careless driver after crashing shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday on McCracken Road in Aleppo Township and rolling the vehicle onto its roof. Police did not identify the driver or say if the person was injured.
One injured in crash: A driver suffered a minor injury Aug. 18 when his car was struck while on Route 21 at the Interstate 79 off-ramp in Franklin Township. State police said James Duffy, 72, of Pittsburgh, was crossing Route 21 when another driver, Robert J. Barr, 61, of Mars, failed to stop at a red light and crashed into Duffy’s vehicle. Duffy was taken to WHS-Greene hospital for treatment.
Vehicle stolen: An off-road utility vehicle worth about $10,000 was stolen Monday night or Tuesday morning from a storage area on Ned Ridge Road in New Freeport Township, state police said.
