Hearing scheduled for brother accused of impersonating one of missing twins
PITTSBURGH (AP) – The brother of Pennsylvania twins whom welfare caseworkers haven’t been able to locate for 10 years is scheduled for a preliminary hearing.
Eighteen-year-old Datwon Fowler has been charged with lying to police by pretending to be one of the missing twins.
Penn Hills police say Fowler pretended on the phone to be his brother, who’s believed to be about 17 now. Police texted the number but traced it to Penn Hills, not Georgia, where Fowler and his mother, Patricia, have told police Ivon and his sister Inisha now live with a family friend.
Fowler’s mother is charged with concealing the twins’ whereabouts from police. Her hearing last week was delayed so she can have a mental evaluation.
Datwon Fowler doesn’t have an attorney listed in court records and remains jailed.
