Assault charge: Karen A. Campbell, 56, of 196 McClure Ave., Burgettstown, was placed in Washington County jail Saturday after McDonald police responded to an incident at her residence. According to the complaint, Campbell struck her husband, Ron Campbell Sr., and a juvenile. Karen Campbell was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in jail on $5,000 bond. She faces charges of simple assault and harassment at a preliminary hearing before District Judge Gary Havelka Sept. 8.

Theft citation: Jessica Chamberlain, 33, of California, was cited for retail theft by borough police Aug. 23 for allegedly stealing a shirt from Dollar General on Wood Street.

Two cited: Cheyenne Davis, 20, of Sycamore, was cited for underage drinking and Elmer Schifko, 21, of Mather, was cited for disorderly conduct after allegedly running from police Saturday. According to borough police, the two attempted to flee when police tried to stop them as they walked near of First and Liberty streets.

Drinking citation: Nicholas C. Reyes, 18, of Media, was cited by borough police for underage drinking Saturday near Wood and Third streets.

Disorderly citation: Arnel V. Farmer, 22, of Pittsburgh, was cited for violating a borough ordinance Saturday. According to the complaint, Farmer had a party at 511 Fifth St. with people drinking outside and causing a disturbance.

Garage vandalized: A Canonsburg man reported to borough police someone broke a window out of a garage located near 203 Orchard Ave. Sunday.

Man jailed: Solomon Chambers, 48, was placed in Washington County jail Friday on out-of-county bench warrants from Greene and Allegheny counties. Canonsburg police took Chambers into custody after a report he was seen entering 126 Smith St.

Assault charge: Talisha Murdy, 24, of 218 E. Pitt St., Canonsburg, was taken into custody by borough police Friday after allegedly striking Jennifer Livolsi in the face. According to the complaint, Murdy left her children in the car when she got into an altercation in Livolsi’s driveway at 209 E. Pitt St. Murdy, who faces charges of simple assault and harassment, was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in jail on $5,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Sept. 8 before District Judge David Mark.

Resisting charge: Hector A. Burciaga, 32, of 40 Henderson Drive, Canonsburg, was placed in Washington County jail Sunday after police responded to a domestic dispute at his residence. Charleigh Carnahan told Cecil Township police Burciaga shoved her down steps. After Carnahan left the residence, police said they were trying to help Burciaga get into the house when he became aggressive and refused to follow commands. Burciaga was tased and placed in handcuffs. He was arraigned by District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in jail on $10,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled Sept. 8 before District Judge Traci L. McDonald. Burciaga faces charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and harassment.

Theft charge: Scott Reed, 45, of 349 Orchard St., Springdale, was placed in Washington County jail Sunday on a state parole violation after he allegedly stole more than $600 worth of merchandise from Tanger Outlet stores. South Strabane police said Reed had a pair of side cutters in his possession when he was taken into custody. Reed was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in jail on two $5,000 bonds on charges of retail theft and possessing instruments of crime. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 8 before District Judge Jay Weller.
