Woman admits to role in 2014 torture killing of ex-classmate
PITTSBURGH – A Western Pennsylvania woman pleaded guilty to murder under a plea deal in the torture killing of her former high school classmate.
Authorities said 25-year-old Jacquelyn Nuccetelli, of Sharpsburg, pleaded guilty Wednesday in the April 2014 slaying of 23-year-old Andrew McMunn.
Prosecutors said Nuccetelli set up McMunn for a robbery. She told police she and two others believed McMunn had the key to a work safe with “a lot of money inside.”
His body was later found in South Oakland.
An autopsy determined McMunn died of head injuries and suffered 19 stab wounds. It also seemed as if someone tried to cut off his ear.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Nuccetelli is expected to be sentenced in March to 12 ½ to 30 years in prison.
