South Strabane police charge several people with theft
South Strabane Township police recently filed theft-related charges against several people accused of stealing items from township businesses.
Sandra M. Young, 45, of 905 Old West Road, Bentleyville; Mary Smith, 23, of 30 Gibson Ave., Washington; Jake Knoneberg, 25, of 1920 Park Ave., Washington; Autumn Darrall, 22, also of 1920 Park; Christine Goodwin, 48, of Exchange, W.Va., and Antonio C. Troutman, 26, of 451 Highfield Ave., Canonsburg, all were charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing from Walmart, Trinity Point, in separate incidents over the last few months.
Eric A. Black, 39, of 70 E. Chestnut St., Washington, and Manda L. Eddy, 30, of Morgantown, W.Va., were charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing merchandise from Kohl’s, Strabane Square, in separate incidents. Kelli Jo Smith, 48, of Wellsburg, W.Va., was charged with retail theft and theft by deception for allegedly stealing items from Kohl’s last month. She allegedly used an old receipt to return a stolen crockpot for cash.
Jesse Charnik, 37, of Pittsburgh, was charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing two rolls of copper from Lowe’s, Strabane Square, in July. Laurie Blackburn, 39, of 1320 Allison Ave., Washington, was charged with theft by deception for allegedly returning stolen items from Lowe’s for a gift card.
Brittney L. Bell, 25, and Kenisha M. Reynolds, 24, both of Pittsburgh, were charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing items from OshKosh B’Gosh at Tanger Outlets in August.
Pamela L. Smith, 37, of 2884 S Bridge Road, Washington, is charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing garage door openers from Home Depot in September.
Curtis Sadler, 54, of 360 E. Hallam Ave., Washington, is charged with felony retail theft for allegedly stealing groceries from Giant Eagle, Strabane Square, last month.
Lauren Hackett, 37, of 252 Locust Ave., Washington, is charged with theft by deception for allegedly making a fraudulent return at Gabriel’s, Northgate Plaza, last month.
Melissa A. Zelenka, 34, of 1025 Bedillion Road, Washington, is charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing two pairs of tennis shoes from the Nike Outlet shop at Tanger in October.
All of the charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
