A Waynesburg man was charged with robbery after he allegedly punched two women and a 2-year-old and stole a car belonging to one of the women early Thursday morning.

State police said Daniel Wayne Ealy Jr., 31, was a passenger in 26-year-old Ashley Temple’s car about 1:30 a.m. when he started punching her in the head and mouth. Ealy allegedly told Temple, “I have a plan for you,” the criminal complaint said.

Ealy told Temple that he wanted her to assault a six-months-pregnant woman with whom he was in a relationship, 22-year-old Veronica Farrar, the complaint said. Police said the two drove to Farrar’s Franklin Township residence, where Ealy took Temple’s phone and began pounding on Farrar’s door.

When Farrar opened the door, Ealy allegedly entered her home and began punching her in the head and face, before forcibly taking Temple’s car keys and driving off in her car, leaving Temple at Farrar’s residence, police said.

Ten minutes later, Ealy allegedly returned to the residence, forced his way inside and began punching Farrar in the face again, police said. Farrar had been holding her 2-year-old son, whom Ealy also struck in the head, the complaint said.

Police said Ealy then left the residence on foot.

Along with robbery, Ealy was charged with three counts of simple assault, theft, recklessly endangering another person, unauthorized use of a vehicle, three counts of harassment, disorderly conduct and three summary traffic offenses.

State police said later Thursday that Ealy had not yet been arrested.
