BREEZEWOOD, Pa. (AP) — The Pennsylvania Turnpike has reopened between Carlisle and Breezewood after a crash involving three vehicles closed the stretch for hours.

The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes around 4 a.m. Monday and closed the turnpike in both directions between those exits. The eastbound lanes reopened about four hours later and the turnpike announced shortly after 11 a.m. that the westbound lanes were open again, too.

Turnpike officials say the crash involved two tractor-trailers and a minivan. One of the trucks overturned.

Four people were taken to a hospital. Their conditions are not known.
