Police beat Dec. 13
Burglary: An unkown actor forced entry through the front door of Cash Auto Salvage and Services, on Greene Valley Road in Aleppo Township, and removed auto parts from within sometime between Nov. 6 and 9.
Theft: Steven Edward Hawk, 22, of 324 Monogehela Ave., West Over, W.Va., was charged by Cumberland Township police with retail theft and receiving stolen property, for allegedly taking a glass sculpture, valued at $150, from Medicine Mine, on Route 88 in Carmichaels on Dec. 1. Police said Hawk admitted to taking the sculpture, but told police that he had already returned it, the criminal complaint said.
Crash: An unknown driver rear-ended another vehicle and left the scene of the crash last week in Franklin Township. The victims of the crash, which happened around 1:30 p.m. on High Street, were Laura Johnson, 36, of Waynesburg, and her 1-year-old son. Neither were injured.
Domestic dispute: Troy Londo Celli, 23, 380B Grant St., Nemacolin, was charged by Cumberland Township police with simple assault and harassment following a domestic dispute that cappened around 10:30 a.m. Saturday at his residence. Police said Jackilyn Caldwell told them Celli allegedly had pushed her into a chair, climbed on top of her and slapped her in the face multiple times. Celli allegedly said to Caldwell, “Why do you always make me do this?” the criminal complaint said. Police said that when he was getting off of her, Celli allegedly put his thumb in Caldwell’s eye before throwing a coffee cup at her and punching two holes in the wall behind her. Caldwell was treated for her injuries at WHS-Greene hospital.
