South Strabane police charge several with theft

South Strabane Township police have charged several people with theft for allegedly stealing from township businesses.

Shyanne M. Sanpietro, 26, of 390 Chartiers Run Road, Chartiers Township, was charged with theft by deception for allegedly returning a coffee pot that allegedly had been stolen by another person to Walmart, Trinity Point, in exchange for a gift card on Dec. 3.

Jaime E. Finseth, 30, of 831 Country Club Road, Washington, and Scott A. Gill of West Wheeling Street, Washington, are each charged in connection with a Sept. 10 incident at Walmart. Finseth is charged with theft and conspiracy for allegedly stealing items valued at $190 from the store. Gill is charged with theft by deception and conspiracy for reportedly returning those items in exchange for a gift card.

James R. Faris, Jr., 24, of 172 Prigg Road, Canton Township, is charged with theft by deception for allegedly returning stolen merchandise for a gift card at Walmart on Nov. 26.

The charges against all four will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
