Robinson Township supervisors will hold a special meeting next week on a natural gas processor’s application to build a third compressor station in the township.

MarkWest Energy has proposed building a station housing six compressor engines on a nine-acre pad. The station would be on property MarkWest owns along Sunnyhill Road near the line with Findlay Township, Allegheny County.

Supervisors will hold a public hearing on MarkWest’s conditional-use application at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 22 at the township building, 8400 Noblestown Road.

The planning commission recommended approval of the plans Dec. 5.
