MONONGAHELA – A Monongahela man and woman were arrested Wednesday on charges stemming from a bar brawl last month that involved as many as 10 people and resulted in a man sustaining severe facial injuries.

District Judge Mark Wilson sent the suspects, Dennis Scott Ducarme, 35, of 1624 Boundary St., and Nicole Eicher, 29, of 418 E. Main St., to Washington County jail on $5,000 bonds on charges accusing them of participating in the fight about 12:30 a.m. Nov. 27 at a Slovak Club, 101 W. Main St., court records show.

Monongahela police said the fight began when Eicher allegedly punched Carrie Gaidos numerous times in the mouth near a jukebox, resulting in others “jumping in.”

Stephen Rura told police he was struck from behind and fell to the floor. He said he stood up and was pushed to the floor by Ducarme.

Ducarme is accused of then kicking and punching Rura many times, causing him to suffer five facial fractures that sent him to a Pittsburgh trauma center, police stated in the affidavit. Eventually, another man stepped in and told Ducarme to “stop or you’re going to kill him,” police said.

Lori Sodora told police she attempted to help Gaidos and was attacked by Eicher.

The fight spilled onto the club’s back porch when police arrived.

Ducarme and Eicher are charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment.
