MUNHALL (AP) – The medical examiner has released the name of a man who died in a fire at an apartment complex for the elderly and disabled near Pittsburgh.

The Allegheny County medical examiner says 61-year-old Richard Miller died in Friday’s fire at the Parkview Towers Apartments in Munhall. The exact cause of death wasn’t immediately released.

County Emergency Services Chief Matt Brown says the fire on the top floor of the seven-story building quickly spread to the roof. The fire was reported shortly before 5 a.m. and was under control about two hours later.

About 90 residents were evacuated and taken to a nearby church for shelter until the American Red Cross could find temporary residences for them.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
