Police beat Dec. 21
Package stolen: A woman reported a package ordered from Amazon and valued at about $60 was stolen about 3:30 p.m. Thursday from outside her home on Perry Como Street.
TVs stolen: A man reported a possible burglary Friday at his home on Duquesne Avenue, saying two flat-screen TVs and multiple power tools were missing from the residence. He put the value of the items between $400 and $600. Police found no signs of forced entry.
Identity theft: Police received a report from a Canonsburg man who said his personal information was stolen after he gave it to a caller who offered to fix security problems with his computer Nov. 30. He contacted police when he realized $18,000 was missing from his bank account.
Fight at bar: Police responded to a report of a fight at Gabby’s Black and Gold Bar, 2440 W. Pike St., about 1:55 a.m. Sunday. A group of women reportedly jumped another woman, who sustained a laceration on her head. North Strabane Township and Canonsburg police assisted.
Charges filed: Adam L. Cross, 37, of 147 Lemoyne Ave., was charged with possessing a small amount of marijuana, possessing drug paraphernalia and driving with an expired registration. An officer said he found suspected marijuana, a small “one-hit” imitation cigarette and items that smelled like marijuana during an Oct. 7 traffic stop of Cross’ truck. Charges will be sent by summons from District Judge Jay Weller’s office.
Man charged: Police charged Ronald W. Pataski, 45, of Waynesburg on Monday with retail theft and conspiracy. A Home Depot employee told police she’d seen Pataski and a woman leaving the store without paying for cans of paint, brushes and rollers Nov. 4. Total value of the items was about $300. The charges will be sent by summons from District Judge Jay Weller’s office.
