Police beat Dec. 23
Driver injured: Virginia Petersavage, 66, of Greenwood Drive, Canonsburg, was taken to Canonsburg Hospital after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday at the intersection of Morganza Road and Bobby Vinton Boulevard, Canonsburg police said. She was the driver of one of the vehicles. Lori Waters, 47, of East Fairmeadow Drive, Canonsburg, was identified as the driver of the other vehicle.
Teen charged: A 16-year-old Morris Township boy was charged by state police with having intercourse with an animal and harassment stemming from a Dec. 7 incident at a home on Plumsock Road, Morris.
Driver faces charges: Ahmad D. Lediju, 29, of Washington, faces charges including leaving the scene of an accident stemming from a Dec. 6 crash on Venetia Road near Thomas Road, Nottingham. State police said he struck a vehicle driven by Wendy Kotecki, 56, of Eighty Four. Lediju’s vehicle hit an embankment and got stuck, police said, and he fled on foot.
Assault, burglary arrest: Mark Clyde Stewart, 48, of 103 Eleanor St., Langeloth, was arrested early Thursday by Washington police on charges of burglary and simple assault. He is accused of entering the Ewing Street home of Clarence Frenden, 40, without Frenden’s permission and assaulting him. Stewart was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County jail on a $75,000 percentage bond.
Vehicle stolen, found: Robert Hall of 154 N. College St. told Washington police Wednesday that his blue 2004 Jeep Laredo was stolen from in front of his home. He told police he had been at a bar Tuesday night and later discovered his keys were not in his pocket. When he came home, the vehicle was gone. His former girlfriend told him she had seen it being driven around the city. The vehicle was later recovered on Kennedy Lane.
